Rotary Youth Exchange: Non-Rotary Events/Activities

District 7505 Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) Program is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. To maintain these standards, this permission form is required for ALL non-sanctioned activities and events that are not part of host family trips, school-related activities, or officially sanctioned District events. Students must comply with the policies outlined in ESSEX Section G: Rules, Attestations, Permissions, Releases, and Consents, Rotary International RYE Rules and Policy, and District 7505 Rules and Policy, including the strict prohibition of solo travel. This form helps ensure that all activities, events, and travel are fully authorized and properly supervised by a vetted adult chaperone.

Non-Rotary Events / Activities: This form must be submitted at least five (5) days before the planned activity or event to allow sufficient time for review and approval by the RYE Committee. It applies only to activities taking place in New Jersey and Philadelphia.

By completing this form, you (a fully vetted designated adult* chaperone/driver) confirm that the activity, event or travel plans fully comply with the rules and guidelines set forth by ESSEX, District 7505, and Rotary International.

As the fully vetted designated adult chaperone/driver, you acknowledge your responsibility for ensuring the student's safety and well-being throughout the activity, event or trip.

Additionally, students are not permitted to miss school days or mandatory Rotary District events for activities, events or trips.

* An ADULT is defined as an individual who is at least 25 years old, has been fully vetted according to ESSEX and Rotary International guidelines, and is responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety of students during travel, events, or activities.

Students attending an event or activity must do so in the spirit of the Rotary Youth Exchange program. These events are intended for cultural enrichment, education, and fellowship and not for personal or romantic engagements.
